Beginning with Foil Stained Glass I - 4 Weeks/2.5 hours week - $150.00
This is our beginning class where we use the foil method of construction. In this class you will learn how to cut, grind, foil and solder glass components while making two class projects. Price includes supplies for your first project. You select from a wide array of free patterns and you purchase glass, foil, and solder for your second project.
Foiled Again - Stained Glass II - 4 Weeks/2.5 hours week - $160.00
This class is the next step in learning the copper foil technique. In this class you will learn how to make a small (12" x 15") panel. We begin with how to build a jig to frame the project and end by teaching how to finish the edges with a zinc frame. You will purchase the approved pattern book and all materials. There will be soldering homework for this class.
You must know how to cut glass and have experience working with copper foil to enroll in this class.
Lead Me Entertain You - Beginning Lead - 3 Weeks/2.5 hours week - $145.00
In this class you will construct a panel with an oval bevel and colored glass. You will also learn how to build a jig, where to start with lead when making a rectangular project and how to putty and finish the piece. You will purchase the glass and bevels. We will supply the patterns, lead, and other supplies.
You must know how to cut glass to enroll in this class.
A Pane in the Glass - Window Panels - 4 Weeks/2.5 hours week - $170.00
In this class you will construct a panel up to 21" x 21". You choose the medium - foil or lead. If you choose lead, you must have worked with lead before. You will be learning how to use reinforcing and finishing the panel with zinc or lead. You will also learn how to measure windows for panels and learn the common installation procedures. You select and purchase the pattern and furnish all the materials. There will be homework for this class.
You must know how to cut glass and have built small panels like those created in the "Foiled Again" or Lead Me Entertain You" classes
